Circuit Racing – Winter Series The following rules will apply: • Fireproof racing overalls zipped up during racing compulsory. • Helmets must be in a good condition. Visors/goggles for vehicle without windscreen compulsory. • The standard of racing vehicle will need to be high, not only from a safety point of view but also from an appearance point of view. It is worth noting that ideally vehicles are used in other forms of motor sports and will therefore be regulated by their own rules. (Evidence should be provided where possible. • Vehicles that are not used for other forms of motor sports will be closely scrutinised. • The minimum requirements for any vehicle are: i) Full role cage including door bars. ii) Hand held fire extinguisher securely fitted inside vehicle. iii) Brake light. iv) Full harness. v) Battery must be secured and covered. vi) Fuel lines/tank must be secured and all fuel line must have pipe clips on all the joints. vii) Electrical cut-off switch accessible from outside the vehicle. The independent scruitineers decision is FINAL. NO discussions will take place between individuals and the organisers. • The tyre requirements are as follows: i) NO Mud & Snow tyres ii) Road legal tyres allowed with minimum tyre depth of 1.6 mm during racing. iii) Slick or moulded tyres allowed but only while track conditions permit, if conditions change during the day competitors will be asked to change tyres accordingly. (e.g. Inters or full wet). • Any competitor found to be misbehaving on or off the circuit. i.e. i) Speeding/revving in the pit/pit lane areas. ii) Ignoring the marshals flags/lights. iii) Deliberate contact with other competitors. iv) Leaving the circuit deliberately and travelling along the grass. v) Driving in an unsafe manner. vi) Deliberately driving on the circuit with a flat wheel/puncture. The competitor will be personally liable for any damage to the circuit surface including any costs incurred. Any of the above behaviour will result in the individual being blacked flagged/warned. Two black flags/warnings will result in the competitor being asked to leave the circuit. NO refund will be given. NO discussions will take place between the individual and the organisers.
